so half my club team is taking on my country's national team....siding with the national team on this one +160 for a nickel.....w/the exception of boularouz we have the world cup team starting lineup...not real intrigued by the starting 11 england are trotting out onto the pitch today..hoping for a safe game as 7 members of city are involved today

it's still a shame to see van marwijk's giving the start time and time again to his son in law(van bommel)...why we play with two central defensive mids still bends my mind...huntelaar rots away on the bench when he should be starting at the fwd position along van pussy...and when euros start hopefully he gets that thru his skull(though i am sure he won't) and lets kuyt(great haeart as a ROLE player,,,he's not starter material w/this squad) come off the bench in lieu of starting offelay on the right wing/mid(so long as he is fit...not sure when his return is?)

The Orange always seem to let down at the end of matches when they have a lead (even in matches that count).....they just stopped defending for the last 10 minutes. Robben was brilliant and his work rate for the full 90 was phenomenal...haven't seen that for Bayern this year....conversly RvP always looks lethargic for the National team while working hard for the gunners. Vandervart or Affaly (when he returns to full fitness) would be a good insertion for Kuyt in the starting 11, but I always love Dirk's attitude and work rate. This team will be a real threat in Euro 12 if they can just get out of their group.

as for the defending you can say it was a friendly....robben looked like old chelsea robben....why i call van persie van pussy is evident on the national team..still waiting all these years to show on the BIG stage what he can do..it's apparent he is a stud on the club level and a dud on the national level.....give me huntelaar every day and twice on sunday.....and i have to wipe the embarrassment off my face for not even remembering van der vart...boularouz is a casualty at right back taking over for giovanni von bronkhorst...we are in trouble there...rest of the defense is solid..pieters needs to stay back let the rest of the pros take care of the offense....euro should be a blast....i would consider this the now or never with this core group..cuz 2 years from now in brazil we will be that much older...with most of this group in their early 30's.....

RVP should play for England...he'd fit in with club then country attitude. Now that Spain (and not Chelski) have realized they have to dump Torres it will be near impossible to beat them. Germany too....I think Nederlands should and will be 3rd favourties. Netherlands might be too beaten up if they can survive the group stages. Can't wait for EUROs though...already have my place to stay in Ukraine.

understood that germany is everyone's darlings at the moment,,,,and yes, they are quite prolific....but they still have to prove to me that they can back up this aura about them now...it's been a while since they have won silverware....and yes, the dutch have not won zilch since '88(still can't forgive robben for the wc final..and never will)..and we are always the bridesmaid and never the bride....understood...just don't fall asleep at the wheel with this team...
